I am from Kherson. I spent the entire occupation in my hometown. During the occupation, I found out that I was pregnant. My husband asked me to leave the city. I refused - it was scary and I didn't want to leave him. His friends were engaged in partisan work and helped the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He was a hunter, he had a hunting weapon. I don't know if he was also a partisan. He was taken away with just such an accusation.

It was August 2022. The Russian military came to our house for him. We tried to escape by bus. They stopped the bus and took us out of there. They put handcuffs and a bag on his head, and immediately started beating him. Twice they brought him home - he dug up his rifles in the yard and gave them to them. They kept him inthe basement for a week, then took him to the Crimea. And from there to the Rostov region, in prison.

Over the past six months, several military personnel were released from there on exchange. In general, there are about 400 captured Ukrainians there. I correspond with the coordination head quarters, I am waiting for an exchange. Unfortunately, there is no financial support for families whose relatives are in captivity. My mother and I left Kherson in November 2022, immediately after the liberation of the city. Now we live in Kryvyi Rih. Our daughter was born here in December 2022.
