I live in Kostyantynivka, in the frontline zone. The hardest blow for me was losing my 35-year-old son in 2022. I am very ill: I have a Group 3 disability, arthritis, and diabetes. I also have joint problems, difficulty moving due to being overweight, and recently doctors discovered ischemia with fluid accumulating in my lungs. I live on a disability pension of 3,000 UAH. I am only 59 years old, and I really want to keep living, but under these conditions, I just don’t know how.
I am 75 years old and live with type 2 diabetes. Due to complications, my foot has started to decay. I spent the last month in the hospital, spent a lot of money, but there has been no improvement. My foot hurts, and I need to be hospitalized again. Because of the wound on my foot, all my shoes have become unusable. I am in urgent need of winter shoes, size 41, for a wide foot.
I was forced to leave Donetsk Oblast with my two grandchildren (ages 6 and 17). Our town, Novohrodivka, was occupied, and our house burned down with all our belongings and furniture, while our apartment was damaged. The children’s parents are missing. We are currently living in a rented apartment in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, without heating and on the first floor. We live very modestly, and there isn’t enough money for even the most basic things.
I have been sick since birth—I was born with a tumor on my right kidney. Now, I have a third-degree disability and ongoing health problems due to the kidney removal. I am raising three children (ages 11, 9, and 3) on my own, and we live in an old rented house. My eldest daughter has a disability—cerebral palsy. She was born with central nervous system damage and a brain cyst; her right arm doesn’t function, and she has difficulty walking with her right leg. We live on my disability allowance, and times are very tough.
I live in the frontline village of Kostyantynivka. I am 57 years old and have a disability of the 2nd group. I was admitted to the hospital with a tumor in gynecology, and they also discovered diabetes. I am in very poor health; I have had two surgeries on my legs, where my joints were replaced with endoprostheses. I walk with a cane. I live very modestly on a pension of 2,700 UAH. Currently, my hospital expenses are 500-700 UAH per day. I don’t know what to do when the money runs out.
I have stage 4 cancer with metastases. I have undergone 24 courses of chemotherapy, which led to tumor necrosis. Surgery is not possible. I take medication daily and receive a chemotherapy injection every 28 days. This drug was provided by the cancer center, but it has been unavailable for the past three months. I cannot afford to buy it myself, as it costs from 12,000 UAH, while my pension is only 2,980 UAH. I am raising my 11-year-old son on my own. I am sincerely asking for help—I need to live for my son’s sake.
